The Tramezzino Stack

Milan Architecture Week, La Triennale di Milano, from 12th to 18th June 2017, Milan.

During the Milan Architecture Week, we set up a culinary platform for the preparation of a happy hour with tramezzini, a symbol of an alimentary stack. The participants were invited in preparing and eating the sandwiches using the glossary of the book “The stack. On software and sovereignty” as a cookbook. The kitchen and the preparation with more hands become a symbol of new “Architecture Platforms” for the decentralized interaction of multiple subjects, apt to shape the human habitat. If Le Corbusier’s Modulor can be seen as the last paradigm of a revision of the architectural perspective, today, what can synthesize a more and more Planetary Scale Computation System, ” to blur geographic, economic, and political layers”(Jan Boelen, 2017). What’s the role of the spatial practices in this new Stack? What’s the aim of these efforts?

Participants: Ethel Baraona Pohl (DPR Barcelona), Antonello Colaps (Dopolavoro.org), Jacopo Costanzo (Warehouse of Architecture and Research) and Cristina Goberna Pesudo (Fake Industries Architectural Agonism)
