XC Objects

EDIT 2024, Archivio di Stato, From 11st to 13rd October 2024, Naples

XC Objects is a project born from the collaboration between Parasite 2.0 and Bianco67. It is through the combination of Bianco67’s extensive experience in working with marble, stones, and granite, and Parasite 2.0’s design approach, that the project takes shape.

At its core is the desire to reinterpret waste materials from these processes and integrate them into new value-driven contexts. XC Objects uses stone processing waste as its primary material but places it within a more complex and open ecosystem. By developing a dry-joint system, materials of different types and sizes can be assembled and disassembled, allowing them to return to their original form.

A material that, as waste, has lost its original functional value, retains its intrinsic worth thanks to its interaction with the connection element, opening up new cultural and production possibilities.

The project has been awarded with “MAIN EXHIBITOR AWARD”.

“For having the idea to reinterpret a waste material by inventing a system that overturns the paradigm, making design a process rather than just a simple interpretation of form.”
