Parasite 2.0 x Bianco67, Salone Raritas @ Salone del Mobile, from the 21st to the 26th of April 2026, Milan.
On the occasion of the first edition of Salone Raritas — the new exhibition platform within Salone del Mobile.Milano dedicated to collectible design, limited editions and high-end craftsmanship — Bianco67 presents Secunda Natura. Nothing Here is Just a Wall, developed in collaboration with the design and research studio Parasite 2.0. The project is conceived as a “second nature”, a condition in which material is reactivated and reinterpreted. The project emerges from a shared exploration of production cycles, the value of material and the role of contemporary technologies in stone processing. At its core lies a dual reflection: waste as the starting point of the process, and the possibilities opened up by advanced fabrication techniques. Stone fragments typically excluded from standard production are reactivated and transformed into structural and narrative elements, generating new relationships between technique, form and function. Secunda Natura builds upon the XC Objects series, presented between 2024 and 2025 in Milan, Miami and Naples, further developing an approach that challenges conventional industrial logic. Marble — particularly reclaimed travertine — is no longer treated as a passive material, but becomes an active device capable of generating open configurations. The installation unfolds through a series of elements operating between object and architecture: a wall-mounted piece with integrated functions, a vertical element with a mirror, and a coffee table. Rather than standalone objects, these form an open and modular system designed to adapt to different contexts. The elements suggest possible uses without rigidly defining them, maintaining a hybrid and transformable nature. Parasite 2.0’s approach, combined with Bianco67’s deep knowledge of stone and advanced technological expertise, gives shape to a system operating across multiple levels. The use of six-axis robotic fabrication pushes the structural and formal potential of the material, approaching an almost artisanal level of precision and control, while establishing a dialogue between innovation and decorative tradition. Surfaces are articulated through patterns that evoke a classical imagery, with references to the marine world, while the travertine — ranging from white and yellow to warmer, reddish tones — contributes to a layered material narrative. Steel inserts introduce a principle of flexibility, allowing the system to adapt across different scales, from furniture to architectural applications. At the same time, the project reflects on the mechanisms of waste generated by a production system increasingly shaped by fast-moving aesthetic trends and digital dynamics. In this context, discarded travertine is reinterpreted as a resource and as a trace of contemporary transformations linked to production, image and taste.
The collaboration between Bianco67 and Parasite 2.0 is rooted in an ongoing dialogue between technical expertise and design inquiry. On one side, the company’s know-how — combining craftsmanship, technology and full control of the production process — and on the other, the studio’s speculative approach, aimed at questioning contemporary modes of inhabiting space. The result restores a renewed centrality to natural stone within the design landscape, transforming the production process into expressive content.

Parasite 2.0 is an architecture, design and research studio based in Milan, founded in 2010 by Stefano Colombo, Eugenio Cosentino and Luca Marullo Viola.
Over the years, the studio has collaborated with international brands and institutions including Apple, IKEA, Missoni and the Venice Architecture Biennale, and has presented its work in museums and major cultural platforms worldwide, including Fondazione Prada, MAXXI – National Museum of 21st Century Arts, Triennale Milano and the Pavillon de l’Arsenal in Paris.
Active for over fifteen years, the studio operates at the intersection of architecture, design and scenography, investigating the transformations of contemporary habitats through a hybrid and experimental approach. Their work challenges conventional architectural models, conceiving space as an open system in constant evolution, activated through use, relationships and collective dynamics.
Working across multiple scales — from spatial design to objects, installations and exhibition environments — Parasite 2.0 develops devices that reinterpret the relationship between individuals, space and context.
Alongside its design practice, Parasite 2.0 maintains an active engagement in teaching and research, holding academic positions at international institutions including the Design Academy Eindhoven.
Among the awards received are the Young Architects Program (YAP) at MAXXI in 2016 and the Main Exhibitor Award at EDIT Napoli Design Fair in 2024.
