The Disco is a Square

Zero Design Festival, Plastic Club, from 18th to 21st March 2016, Milan.

The project wants to sum up a series of important features and elements typical of the atmosphere of ritual parties, seen as alternative ways of escape. It retakes the experiences of the SuperArchitecture and of the discotheques around Italy that the groups of the Radical Architecture considered as a new typology of public space. For the young architects of the 60s and 70s, clubs such as Piper, Mach2 and Space Electronics are squares ruled and enlivened by completely new conventions. Through a series of elements, different atmospheres will be created in order to host the various material exhibited during the festival. Inside the Plastic, very simple banners will be installed because of the already strong spatial connotation of the rooms.
